To use our integration with Twitter select "Login to Twitter". To use the manual connection mode skip to step 6.

Follow the prompts to allow Videolinq act on your behalf.

Give the destination a name you can remember and select a nearby region.

Back to the channel, push "Go Live", and start the Twitter destination. To stop the broadcast: stop the Twitter destination and stop the channel.

Create a Manual Live Stream

To create a live stream on Twitter activate Twitter Producer: login to your Twitter account, click on "More..." on the left navigation bar, and click on "Media Studio".

Click on the "Producer" link, and on the "Create Broadcast" icon on the upper right corner of the screen.

In the next screen give the video source a name and drop down to select a near-by regional entry point for your live video.

The next page will show the RTMP path and stream key assigned to your live stream. Copy these values as you will need them for the next step. Click "Done" when ready.

Give the destination a name you will remember. Paste here the RTMP URL and stream key from the Twitter console. Save settings.

To begin broadcasting live video to Twitter do this:

  • Enable the video source (the green play icon will become red).

  • Push on "Go Live".

  • Start the Twitter destination (the green play icon will become a red).

Embed the live video in a tweet. Go back to Twitter Studio and click on the "Tweet" blue icon. The next page will prompt you to add text and post the tweet.

Verify that live video shows on your Twitter profile. When the broadcast ends, remember to first stop the live stream in the Videolinq channel, then open the Twitter Studio console. Now you can "trim" the recorded stream, or delete it.

TIPS & TRICKS: When using the "Login" method Videolinq assigns a stream key to your destination. A new stream key is required to stream next time. Repeat the process of creating a new Twitter destination for the next broadcast. When using the "Manual" method, in "Producer" you will have the option to create a new broadcast or re-use the stream key from the previous broadcasts.
